There's no place like home for the Public Safety Academy Phoenix, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 32-19 win over Desert Mirage on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Public Safety Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Desert Mirage's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Omar Martinez, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Martinez is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of George Miranda, who scored 1 points along with 10 rebounds.
The win got Public Safety Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Desert Mirage, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Public Safety Academy will take on Mesa Grande Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Desert Mirage, they will be playing at home against Banning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Banning comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
