The Conestoga Cougars won the last time they faced the Syracuse Rockets, and things went their way on Friday too. Conestoga strolled past Syracuse with points to spare, taking the game 48-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Conestoga.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Conestoga to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Simones, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 1 assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Andy Lamoureux, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Conestoga's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. As for Syracuse, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conestoga will take on Brownell Talbot at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Brownell Talbot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Thursday. As for Syracuse, they will be playing at home against Milford on Friday.
