The Norborne Pirates lost against the Northwestern Eagles back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Norborne was outmatched by the Eagles at home and fell 55-21. Norborne has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Zach Deitch and Braydon Cook certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Deitch scored 11 points, while Cook scored four points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Norborne's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.1 points per game. As for Northwestern, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Norborne will head out on the road to challenge the at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
