If South Lake was riding high  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Umatilla on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell  3-1 to the East Ridge Knights on Thursday.  East Ridge was led to victory by  Ana Andrades Villa and  Breylan Fairley.  Andrades Villa  had 11  digs and two  aces, while  Fairley  had seven  digs and four  aces. Those  11  digs gave  Andrades Villa a new career-high.  Maria Martins Dutra also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  dig of the season.
South Lake's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-7. As for East Ridge, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 South Lake has already played their next matchup,  a  3-0  victory against Eustis on the 16th. As for East Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  3-1  win against Gateway on the 16th.
