Despite the loss, St. Teresa's Catholic saw an underclassman step up: Dyland Rangel scored 24 points. Another player making a difference was Nick Marini, who scored 9 points.
St. Teresa's Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for CHESS Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Teresa's Catholic will face off against Colquitt Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for CHESS Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Byne Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
