Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Perham sidestepped Detroit Lakes for a 3-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.
Perham got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 15-25, 28-30, 15-10.
Perham was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Hawley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. As for Perham, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
