WPIAL AAAA Southeastern recap October 1, 2013
Canon-McMillan scaled the state rankings by moving to 231 from 275 this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL AAAA Southeastern. The Big Macs climbed the ranks as a result of besting Plum 17-7.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Upper St. Clair beat Baldwin 44-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Panthers.
Joe Repischak was a passing and rushing force as Upper St. Clair defeated the Highlanders. He completed 6 passes for 120 yards and also ran for 44 yards.
BILL KISNER put up the best numbers in passing as Penn Hills beat North Hills. He finished with 4 completions for 54 yards. KISNER's favorite target this week was MICHAEL ANTHONY, who caught 3 passes for 51 yards.
Jim Render's team's 6-foot-3 quarterback Repischak is the league leader in passing yards this season with 498. The leading receiver in the league this season is Troy Apke. The Mt. Lebanon star has 22 catches for 275 yards.
At the moment, the Indians are in second, while Bethel Park is in third.
Penn Hills and the Indians played the closest game in the league this week, with Penn Hills eventually emerging with a 21-17 victory. KISNER ran for 57 yards in the win.
