Perhaps the best among them was Juanita Puentes, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Puentes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brylee Perez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Southwestern Heights pushed their record up to 5-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Syracuse, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Southwestern Heights will be playing in front of their home fans against Stanton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
