Basketball Recap: Springport Makes It Four in a Row at Home

On FridaySpringport's undefeated season almost came to an end. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Stockbridge Panthers 49-47. The 49-point effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Springport's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Stockbridge, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springport will be home for the holidays to greet Maple Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stockbridge, they will welcome Leslie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
