The Houston Christian Mustangs will challenge the Northside Falcons HomeSchool Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Houston Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
If Houston Christian beats Northside Falcons HomeSchool with six runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Houston Christian came out on top against Needville by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday.

Kaden Worley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Worley wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Davenport, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Kirby Orth was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Houston Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Northside Falcons HomeSchool owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They blew past Silsbee 9-0. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Grady Williams tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kaleb Steiger was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Northside Falcons HomeSchool has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4-1 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.3 runs. The victory got Houston Christian back to even at 8-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Houston Christian hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Northside Falcons HomeSchool struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Houston Christian couldn't quite finish off Northside Falcons HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in February and fell 8-6. Can Houston Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
