The Space Coast Vipers lost against the Sebastian River Sharks back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Space Coast took a hard 47-30 fall against Sebastian River. Space Coast has struggled against Sebastian River recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Space Coast still got an impressive performance from Taylor Hill, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season.
Leading Sebastian River to victory were E?mani Pryor and Samiya Adams. Pryor dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds, while Adams scored 17 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Pickard, who scored five points.
Space Coast's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Sebastian River, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Space Coast and Edgewood will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Edgewood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Sebastian River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Park Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Lincoln Park Academy sitting on ten straight victories and Sebastian River on seven.
