The Northwest Vikings were the 46-26 winner over the Boone Central Cardinals when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Northwest fell to Boone Central 48-43. Northwest has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northwest's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jolie O?hara, who scored 13 points along with two blocks. It was the first time this season that O?hara posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Brandt, who scored six points.
Northwest's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9. As for Boone Central, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.
Northwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-46 loss vs. Beatrice on the 9th. Boone Central has also already played their next contest, a 44-20 victory against Madison on the 12th.
