If Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Encina, they should've done a better job of containing Youssef Slekh. Encina blew past Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning 3-0 on Thursday with plenty of help from Slekh, who had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs he has posted over his last seven matches.

One reason for the win was Encina's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-14.

Encina is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Encina will square off against Fremont at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, they will face off against Sacramento Waldorf at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
