American History has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on Eagle Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, American History came up short against Glen Ridge and fell 59-46.
Despite the loss, American History had strong showings from Ihjamir Williams, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and seven blocks, and Ahmad Davis, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elijah Whitney, who scored eight points.
Eagle Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 22, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Cedar Grove 54-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eagle Academy has scored all season.
American History dropped their record down to 7-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Eagle Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
