The South View Tigers will challenge the Cape Fear Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (South View 2.1, Cape Fear 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
South View took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Gray's Creek a 3-0 shutout.

Not much got past JORDYNN PARNELL, who gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Gray's Creek off the board. PARNELL has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on MADDY CLARK, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
Meanwhile, Cape Fear entered their tilt with North Johnston on Monday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Panthers.
McKinley Kolasa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Peyton Eason was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Allie Dawson, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Cape Fear was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in 11 consecutive matches.
Cape Fear's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for South View, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. South View hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Cape Fear struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went South View's way against Cape Fear when the teams last played back in March, as South View made off with a 7-1 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
