Devin Henry made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mi'Kel Green and Jaxson Klass did most of the damage at the plate: Green went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles, while Klass got on base in all three of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Green a new career-high. Drew Curtis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Evansville Bosse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Castle had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rebels a 9-0 shutout. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.
