The Killdeer Cowboys will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Turtle Mountain Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Killdeer will be strutting in after a win while Turtle Mountain will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Killdeer earned a 46-35 win over New England. The win made it back-to-back wins for Killdeer.
Meanwhile, Turtle Mountain pushed their score all the way to 66 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 76-66 to Westhope/Newburg. While losing is never fun, Turtle Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Westhope/Newburg is ranked 18th).
Killdeer now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Turtle Mountain, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
