Volleyball Recap: Atholton Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Isabelle Lee and Katie Brown

Atholton lost against Glenelg back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gladiators. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Atholton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-14, 27-25, 25-9.

Katie Brown and Isabelle Lee certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Brown had six digs and two aces, while Lee had 11 assists and six digs. Brown is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Atholton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-2. As for Glenelg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Atholton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against South River on the 21st. As for Glenelg, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Arundel on the 21st.
