Spring Lake Park faced Maple Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers came out on top against the Crimson by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on April 9th.

Spring Lake Park didn't let Maple Grove take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22.

Atticus Molitor paced Spring Lake Park's offense, picking up 12 kills. Molitor got some help from Victor Nguyen and his 14 assists. Remi Xiong controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Spring Lake Park's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Maple Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Spring Lake Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Rogers on the 30th. As for Maple Grove, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Robbinsdale Armstrong on the 30th.
