The Dell City Cougars can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They secured a 53-48 W over Fort Davis. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dell City also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Reyes Espinoza continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with five steals. Espinoza is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Estrada, who scored seven points along with five assists and three steals.
Dell City's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Fort Davis, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
Dell City will head out on the road to square off against Van Horn at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Van Horn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for Fort Davis, they will be playing at home against Marfa at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
