The Peachtree Academy Panthers won the last time they faced the Skipstone Academy Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Peachtree Academy strolled past Skipstone Academy with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Peachtree Academy.
Leading Peachtree Academy to victory were Julian Baluta and Noah Rodriguez. Baluta scored 11 points, while Rodriguez scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds. The contest was Rodriguez's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tom Mitchell, who scored 5 points.
Despite the defeat, Skipstone Academy saw an underclassman step up: Nick Cloud scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelvin "Deuce" Searcy, who scored 7 points.
Peachtree Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Skipstone Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peachtree Academy will take on Lanier Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Skipstone Academy, they will be playing at home against Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
