FORESTVILLE, Md. -
Suitland (Forestville, Md.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 18-17 victory over
DuVal (Lanham, Md.) on Saturday. The Rams took the lead for good when
Wesley Wolfolk threw a touchdown to
Robert Wigfall.
After nabbing the lead on an
Antoine Brooks touchdown run, the Tigers went into halftime with a 14-6 lead. The Rams took the lead to win the game on a touchdown pass by Wolfolk to Wigfall in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, Suitland still trailed by eight points going into the fourth quarter. But 12 points in the fourth helped SHS pull out the victory.
The loss snapped DuVal's eight-game winning streak.
The Forestville school went into the matchup giving up only 7.2 points per game. The 17 points that DuVal ended with were right around its average of 16.1 coming into the game.
