Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 12-1 victory. Considering the Pirates have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Isabella Flores made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Flores was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Camila Delgado Yescas looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Isabella Paskert, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Michelle Torres, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.
Piedmont Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Grove only posted a batting average of .118.
Oak Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Piedmont Hills, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
