Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Malachi Thomas, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Michael Anderson, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Central were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.
Bloomfield will head out on the road to face off against Newark Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Newark Tech's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Canarsie at 3:30 p.m. on January 7th. Canarsie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 349th in New York, while Central is ranked 172nd in New Jersey).
