The Vista PEAK Prep Bison came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 65-37 win over Denver North on the road. With that victory, Vista PEAK Prep brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.
Vista PEAK Prep found their leader in underclassman Knakai Starks, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Starks has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Amirah Pena, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Vista PEAK Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Denver North, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vista PEAK Prep will take on Denver South at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Denver South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Denver North, they will play host again and welcome Kennedy, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
