Basketball Recap: J.L. Mann Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After a string of three wins, J.L. Mann's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 71-40 loss at the hands of the Legacy Early College Lions.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia McKinney, who posted 20 points. McKinney has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Imari Richardson was another key player, putting up four points and 13 rebounds.

J.L. Mann's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-6. As for Legacy Early College, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

J.L. Mann will challenge Greenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Greenwood has won five straight at home, while J.L. Mann won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Legacy Early College, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Legion Collegiate Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
