Cheyenne Mountain has struggled against Kent Denver recently, as their  contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Evergreen and  nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Cheyenne Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.
 Everything went Evergreen's way against Cheyenne Mountain in their previous meeting  back in March of 2023 as Evergreen made off with a  3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Evergreen since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
