Miller Place's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julie Orenzo, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Orenzo scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Callaghan, who scored 11 points.
Miller Place's win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Hampton Bays, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Miller Place will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kings Park at 6:00 p.m. on January 24, 2024. Hampton Bays does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
