Parkland and the Raiders are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Parkland Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Reagan Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Parkland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Last Friday, Parkland ended up a good deal behind the Eagles and lost 71-54. Parkland has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Parkland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Joshua Moore, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds, and Christian Williams who scored 11 points along with two steals. Moore has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 13 times he's played. SaMaurie Moses was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even though West Forsyth scored an imposing 66 points on Friday, Reagan still came out on top. Reagan walked away with a 73-66 win over the Titans.
Parkland's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Reagan, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Parkland was able to grind out a solid win over the Raiders in their previous meeting back in January, winning 62-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parkland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
