After losing to the Warren Central Vikings the last time they met, the Ridgeland Titans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Ridgeland came out on top against Warren Central by a score of 59-48 on Friday.
Ridgeland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stevent Watkins, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Watkins has scored all season. Phil Nelson was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Ridgeland has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Warren Central, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Columbus the next time they take the court. Ridgeland will host Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Warren Central will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
