The Resurrection Christian Cougars typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Riverdale Ridge Ravens proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 62-52. The win made it back-to-back wins for Riverdale Ridge.
Riverdale Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marcus Hinh, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kameren Davis, who scored 15 points.
Resurrection Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Barker, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Barker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Riggs, who scored 11 points along with two blocks.
Riverdale Ridge's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Resurrection Christian, their defeat ended a 21-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2.
Riverdale Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Resurrection Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Weld Central at 7:00 p.m. Weld Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 168th, while Resurrection Christian is ranked 16th).
