It was a good run, but the Morgan Huskies unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. The match between Morgan and Suffield wasn't particularly close, with Morgan falling 47-33. Morgan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Suffield apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2016.
Morgan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Johnson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria O'Neill, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Morgan's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Suffield, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
