Football Recap: West Broward Takes Down South Plantation in a Playoff Battle

West Broward had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed past the South Plantation Paladins to the tune of 56-13 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won seven contests by 25 points or more so far this season.

One reason for the win was West Broward's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Saban McCloud with two.

West Broward pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.4 points on average over those games. As for South Plantation, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, West Broward will square off against Monarch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Brandin Mincy and Florentino Lopez. South Plantation does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
