It was a good run, but St. Francis unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Maine South Hawks by a score of 2-1. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Emma Lesch was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last nine contests.

St. Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Maine South, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

St. Francis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Naperville North on the 6th. As for Maine South, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Joliet West on the 6th.
