The East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pocono Mountain West. East Stroudsburg North lost against Pocono Mountain West in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-64 score last time.
Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nate Wilder, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Wilder scored a full 26.7% of East Stroudsburg North's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Bryceson Dobie, who scored 23 points along with 5 rebounds.
East Stroudsburg North's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Pocono Mountain West, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Stroudsburg North will take on Louis E. Dieruff at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pocono Mountain West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethlehem Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethlehem Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Pocono Mountain West is ranked 121st).
