Volleyball Recap: First Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

First Baptist Academy didn't have quite enough to beat the Valmeyer Pirates on Tuesday and fell 2-1. First Baptist Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 24-26, 26-24.

Valmeyer found their leader in freshman Grace Rowold, who had 18 digs and two blocks.

First Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Valmeyer, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-9-1 record.

First Baptist Academy has already played their next matchup (against Mt. Olive), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Valmeyer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Dupo on the 17th.
