Fullerton found their leader in sophomore Kane Wetovick, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points along with seven assists and five blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wetovick has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakob Supik, who posted six points.
Fullerton was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shelby-Rising City only racked up seven assists.
Meanwhile, Nebraska Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 40-30 to Fairbury.
The victory got Fullerton back to even at 4-4. As for Nebraska Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Everything went Fullerton's way against Nebraska Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Fullerton made off with a 54-31 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Nebraska Christian's Micah Perdew, who put up 21 points and five rebounds.
