NEW ORLEANS, La. - the Wildcats had a big 25-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 43-0 victory over Wright (New Orleans, La.).
St. James scored on a touchdown run by
Curtlan Johnson, a passing touchdown, a Johnson touchdown run and a passing touchdown in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a safety in the first quarter, SJ was up 27-0 at the half.
The Wildcats expanded their lead to 43 points entering the fourth quarter. St. James scored three times in the third, including once on a rushing touchdown.
Coming into the game SJ had allowed 25.3 points per game this year. The Wildcats held firm on the defensive front, and kept Wright well below the 22.3 points it had been averaging per game.
Wright (3-5) will play a 2A District 10 game against Riverside next week, while St. James (3-5) will take on Carver also in a 2A District 10 game.
