After losing to the Colquitt Christian Academy Cavaliers the last time they met, the First Academy Lions decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. First Academy escaped with a win on Friday against Colquitt Christian Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 43-42.
First Academy found their leader in underclassman Rylan Peacock, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peacock has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jakson Bounds, who scored ten points along with five steals.
First Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Colquitt Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
First Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Community Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. Colquitt Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
