The Lake Wales Highlanders lost against the Bartow Yellow Jackets back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lake Wales was outmatched by Bartow on the road and fell 66-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Wales has scored all season.
Several Highlanders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabriel Legrand, who scored four points along with three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Willingham, who scored six points.
Lake Wales' loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Bartow, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Wales will take on Sebring at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sebring presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Wales in Florida (Sebring is ranked 251st, while Lake Wales is ranked 522nd). As for Bartow, they will be playing at home against Auburndale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
