If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Mehlville. They will challenge Oakville on the road at 7:00 PM on Thursday. Mehlville don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Mehlville might be getting used to good results now that the team has four wins in a row. They took their game against Parkway South last Friday 23-13.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Oakville, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They came up short against Northwest, falling 14-27.
Mehlville's win lifted them to 6-2 while Oakville's loss dropped them down to 1-7. We'll find out if Mehlville can add another positive mark to their record or if Oakville can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Mehlville's step.
