This season hasn't been kind to The Washington Jaguars, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They were beaten by Nandua 33-0 on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Washington in their matchups with Nandua: they've now lost three in a row.
Braden Corbin threw for 65 yards on five of eight attempts. Jalen Wigfall was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards. On the ground, Wayne Spence rushed for 81 yards.
Nandua found their leader in underclassman Eli Parker, who rushed for 93 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 61 receiving yards.
Washington's defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. As for Nandua, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will challenge Cambridge-South Dorchester at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cambridge-South Dorchester will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Nandua, they will head out on the road to face off against Northampton at 6:15 p.m. on November 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Northampton is ranked 320th, while Nandua is ranked 296th).
