Marquette Catholic had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.3 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 64-42 margin over the Westville Blackhawks. The Blazers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Marquette Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Laniah Davis out in front who went 8 for 14 on her way to 18 points and five rebounds. Davis has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Addison Penziol was another key player, going 5 of 10 on her way to 15 points.

Marquette Catholic's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Westville, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-1.
