Tavares entered their tilt with Leesburg on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 5-2. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kayla Enix spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Tavares saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jasmine Lawrence, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Tayla Yates also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Tavares' record is now 6-1. As for Leesburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tavares will venture away from home to challenge Master's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Leesburg, they will head out to face off against Lake Weir at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
