Calvert and Old Fort are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Senecas will be playing at home against the Stockaders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Calvert is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Calvert's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Van Buren by a score of 5-0.

Not much got past Ava Eilrich, who gave up just five hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Van Buren off the board. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Eilrich.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gracie Miller, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Scarlett Faber, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Old Fort ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Huron, sneaking past 7-6.
Lucy King was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Makenna Crispen was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
Old Fort kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
The win got Old Fort back to even at 4-4. As for Calvert, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
Old Fort's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Calvert has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .453. It's a different story for Old Fort, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain Calvert's hitters?
Everything went Calvert's way against Old Fort in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Calvert made off with a 13-3 win. Will the Senecas repeat their success, or do the Stockaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
