Mesick's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla McCoy, who scored 11 points along with six assists and two steals. That was a full 35.5% of Mesick's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cassie Sexton, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Cadillac Heritage Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Mesick, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cadillac Heritage Christian will play host again and welcome Forest Area, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mesick, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Brethren at 6:30 p.m. Brethren's defense has only allowed 26.3 points per game this season, so Mesick's offense will have their work cut out for them.
