The McNair Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 61-40 loss at the hands of West. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly McNair struggled afterwards.
West's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gurpinder Punia, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Omari Smith was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
McNair bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for West, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
McNair will head out on the road to face off against Tokay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Millennium at 8:00 p.m. Millennium will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1379th, while West is ranked 267th).
