Towson is 1-7 against Perry Hall since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Towson Generals will head out on the road to face off against the Perry Hall Gators at 6:00 p.m. Towson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Perry Hall is ranked 19th).
With a playoff game on the line, Towson rose to the challenge on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 21-20 win over Dulaney. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Towson as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Perry Hall put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Woodlawn 57-6 at home. Considering Perry Hall has won seven games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Perry Hall's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Williams, who picked up 72 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Naieem Dixon made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Towson's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Perry Hall, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 10-0 record.
Towson took a serious blow against Perry Hall when the teams last played back in September of 2022, falling 43-0. Can Towson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
