Basketball Recap: Eli Miller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Utica Ford over L'anse Creuse North

Utica Ford lost against L'Anse Creuse North back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Utica Ford Falcons fell just short of the L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders by a score of 86-83. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (67), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Miller, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds. With that strong performance, Miller is now averaging an impressive 16.4 points per game. Nick Pagel was another key player, going 9 for 13 on his way to 20 points.

Utica Ford now has a losing record at 2-3. As for L'Anse Creuse North, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Utica Ford will head out to take on Utica at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Utica Ford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for L'Anse Creuse North, they will take on Anchor Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. L'Anse Creuse North has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 222 points over their last three games.
