Castle View hasn't had much luck against Mountain Vista recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Castle View Sabercats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Castle View didn't have quite enough to beat Heritage and fell 62-59.
Defeat or not, Castle View got some senior leadership from Blake Graham and Evan Mckean. Graham went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points in addition to six assists and five boards, while Mckean dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 33.9% of Castle View's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Mason Orton was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Mountain Vista's strategy against Ponderosa on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Mountain Vista blew Ponderosa out of the water with an 83-25 final score. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.
Mountain Vista's win came from a few key players Castle View will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Oliver Junker, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Wes Baskind, who earned ten points along with seven assists and six steals.
Castle View's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Mountain Vista, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
